This past week has been a busy one. As with everyone in the adult industry and due to our economy, I’ve been looking to take on as many projects as I can to earn money. Most of the projects haven’t come through yet with people wanting me to work for them for free with the standard industry promise of “You’ll make money… eventually”.

“Eventually” doesn’t pay the rent. I’ve passed on those offers. If someone has a serious paying job position to offer, I’m all ears.

One of the offers I did take was to work with LeMayzing Pictures again. I’ve agreed to take over and maintain the LeMayzing Clips Store on Clips.com for a cut of the profits. New scenes have been added all week with at least one new scene to be added daily.

Quick shout out to Kelly Shibari who has been a big source of knowledge with tips on content for different clips sites. We ended up discussing Web 2.0 and other geek chatter. I may end up redoing powderxxx.com AGAIN to be Web 2.0 compliant.

I’ve also agreed to help arrange content shoots for LeMayzing Pictures between performers. The performers get to use LeMayzing’s location, equipment and crew in exchange for permission for LeMayzing Pictures to use the footage. So far its worked out well as there were a couple scenes shot this past week.

Tuesday, I picked up Brittany Blaze around 12:30pm for her content exchange with male performer Jon Jon. I also got a chance to meet the all natural beauty Becca Blossoms in person for the first time. She and I had spoken a few times over myspace and she also has worked for Naked Chat Live, my weekend job. She is down to earth, easy to talk with but, very business oriented. She definitely knows what she wants.

I also met male talent, Domenic Kane who is just getting back into the business after a small break. Nice guy from Boston and an avid sports fanatic.

The busty blond dynamo, Rachel Love also made an appearance at the location, soon after I arrived. She is a tease to the Nth degree but, its all done in good fun.

Pretty girl pictures were up first. Brittany has several different outfits to try out. The LeMayzing photographer Eddie Garcia, knows how to choose the right lighting and poses for each girl he shoots. Brittany and he had a great time and they took close to 1400 photos by the time the session had finished up.

There was a small break in between pictures and the shoot, as Jon Jon was held up on personal business for a few hours. Lynn LeMay and I got a chance to catch up a bit and she showed me her new blog at lemayzingpictures.com. Lynn is slowly embracing blogging and is writing all the blogs herself on the new site.

Once Jon Jon arrived, he and Brittany spoke about the set up for the scene they both needed for the respective use. They agreed on a bedroom scene where Brittany was sneaking Jon Jon into her room. The scene went well and Brittany even did an extra boy/girl scene with Domenic Kane later that night.

Unfortunately I couldn’t stick around for that scene, as I had been feeling wiped out the last couple of days.

I spoke to Brittany, Lynn and Eddie the next day and they were all extremely pleased with the content shoot.

Thursday was the next content exchange. Stunning Summer was the scheduled shoot for the day. I’ve known Summer for well over a year on a personal level and I’m glad to hear she moved back to the west coast. Her content partnet for the day was Scott Lyons, a rock solid male performer.

I arrived to the LeMayzing set and was immediately greeted by Summer. Was great to see her in person after so long. She was already discussing the upcoming pretty girls and scenes with Lynn and Eddie when I walked in. As they spoke, I chatted with both Becca Blossoms and Domenic Kane for a bit, then settled in to working on the LeMayzing Clips Store.

I could hear both Eddie Garcia and Stunning Summer laughing and having a great time while shooting the pretty girls and there was an upbeat mood that seemed to permeate the entire house that day.

Scott Lyons Arrived later in the day with the lovely Chastity Lynn in tow. Chastity was one of the hosts of “Toyz 4 Twats” on RudeTV before the hiatus and was always in a infectious energetic fun mood when she came in the building. We exchanged big hugs and caught up on how we each had been doing these past weeks. I hope to see more of Chastity and Scott more often now that I’m going to be partnering with LeMayzing again.

Domenic Kane was kind enough to treat everyone to some pizza during a break as we all sat and swapped various stories about the industry. Once again, I couldn’t stick around for that scene as I had a meeting that night (another promised “project” that turned out to be a busy) so, I said my goodbyes to the talent and crew.

This past Friday October 9th, I attended the combined birthday parties of porn star Hunter Bryce and personality James Bartholet. The event was put on by King Ryan and Immoral Productions and was held at Joseph’s Nightclub in Hollywood.

I started the night off, by deciding to take the Metro Red Line into Hollywood, to avoid the traffic and gouging costs that parking lots love to pump up on the weekends. It was an easy ride into Hollywood and Vine, with a lot of interesting people to behold, as they made their way into the cool night air. Once off the Metro subway, I made my way from Hollywood and Vine to Ivar St.

Joseph’s Nightclub is a smaller club, with a good size cover outdoor area with the inside divided between two midsized rooms. One room is the bar and the other a dance floor with booths on ether side.

When I first walked in to the club, I spied, the always entertaining Anita Blue, Chris Charming and the stunning Katja Kassin conversing. After saying hello and speaking with Anita for a bit, I found the Chorizo Brothers setting up their equipment for interviews.

Industry photographer Rick Garcia and I spoke briefly about the upcoming red carpet when, King Ryan wandered out from the Bar area to say hello. Porno Dan soon followed and a several female porn performers joined him, including Ruby Rayes, Amy Brooke and Mallory Rae.

Ruby Rayes and I had spoken via text before but, this was out first meeting in person. A fun high energy girl to speak with. Loves to give hugs, which I readily accepted. Amy Brooke and I met previously at RudeTV. We made a bit of small talk, catching up on what we’d been up to in our lives.

From there, I spoke to newcomer Mallory Rae, who really impressed me as we spoke. We discussed being new in the industry and how so many new performers come into the business without a direction. Mallory has a plan for herself, both while in the industry and for when she decides to exit. She was a pleasure to speak with.

Angel Vain, who I’d met previously, walked in looking busty and beautiful as always. She has natural classic pin up look, which tends to come through on almost every picture she takes. Director and performer Eric John arrived with several ladies in tow, including a lovely slender brunette named, Danica Dillan.

The outdoor area of the club began to fill out quickly, as both industry and mainstream people arrived. Marco Banderas walked in with his date and his mother, I believe. They were followed by Tommy Gunn, ebony goddess Misty Stone, the super busty Sierra Skye and the ravishing Eve Batelle.

Eve and I spent some time discussing her move into fetish modeling, as well as other upcoming projects. It was great to see her out in public after quite some time. She is good people.

Lori Pleasure and her husband, both of whom I hadn’t seen since the XRCO Awards after party arrived and to the crowds delight, she was wearing almost next to nothing. She had to be careful where she walked, lest she step on a few male admires tongues that were hanging out of their mouths.

Next, the always hilarious Brittany Blaze soon made her normal grand entrance and immediately captured the attention of the red carpet photographers in her skimpy outfit. She spent much of her time shooting footage of the event, on her camcorder to put up her Youtube channel at http://www.youtube.com/brittanyblazexxx

Finally, the guests of honor arrived as Hunter Bryce and James Bartholet made their entrance into the club, bringing an entire entourage with them. Among the group were, Kagney Linn Karter, Jack Lawrence, Angelina Valentine and Shawna Lenee. The red carpet became a flurry of flashbulbs as each girl tried their best to make love to each camera.

During the chaos of the guests of honor red carpet feeding frenzy, Regan Reese donning very sexy glasses, made her way through the crowd. Soon Jessica Bangkok with Alyssa Reece also joined the fun.

The steady stream of industry talent never seemed to let up as the busty British beauty Sophie Dee, Lee Bang, Adam Wood, Coach Eddie, The Original Tommy Gunn, Zoe Holloway, Nick Manning and all star AVN photographer Gia Jordon arrived.

After chatting with Lori Lust and Craig Stevens, I noticed the hands on my wrist watch were coming close to midnight and with work on the horizon this weekend, I decided to call it a night. I made my way around the now hot and crowded room to wish everyone well.

After the good byes were over, I walked toward the entrance and ran into male performer Alec Knight on my way out. After a quick exchange of pleasantries, I began my journey down Ivar toward the Metro Red Line, the cool breeze of the night air pushing me along, as I brought my evening adventure to a close.

Last night the beautiful Tanya Tate sponsored Porn Star Karaoke at Sardo’s Grill and Lounge in Burbank. I arrived a few minutes shy of 10pm. Nicki Hunter, the host of the evening, was already working to pump up the room. Sitting in the upper VIP section, were a strong showing of industry performers as Tanya Tate, Ann Marie Rios, Victoria Lawson, Allie Haze, Marcus London and Devon Lee were all sitting together, conversing.

I was taken by surprise when Rude.com’s Trinity Saij pounced and hugged me hello. I hadn’t seen her in quite sometime and it was a pleasant surprise to have her at PSK. Lord Blu and Tony Bones were also there and shared a booth with her. After a bit of small talk with Trinity (and many welcomed hugs from her), I sat and spoke with Ann Marie Rios for a bit.

The next surprise came in the form of Stormy Daniels making an entrance into Sardos. I was a bit shocked to see her but, she is always a welcome sight. Soon the lovely Jordan Kingsley and Tony DeSergio, followed by Tommy Gunn joined the every growing number of industry attendees.

After saying hello to several people, I made my way outside to catch up with Sardos owner, Seymour Satin. While there, I struck up a conversation with Allie Haze, who I knew from Myspace but, never spoken with before. She struck me as a fun, energetic, level headed girl and told me a little of her background. Hopefully we will keep in touch, as I took an instant liking to her.

During my exchange with Allie, Claudia Valentine arrived and I was thrilled to see her. I’ve always like Claudia and her visits to RudeTV were one of the highlights of my time there. She is one of my favorite people in or out of the business. Alec Knight and Amber Ashlee both emerged from the large parking lot and I got a chance to chat with them at separate times for a bit.

Having my fill of cool night air, I made my way back inside Sardos, just in time for a male orgasm contest. It was an interesting (and a bit disturbing) role reversal to watch the guys trying do their best fake orgasm. Tanya Tate and Ann Marie Rios judged the contest with great enthusiasm and delight.

During the contest, I hugged PSK originator Konnie and snapped away with my camera. It was at this point, that the last two nights lack of sleep began to hit me. Feeling the growing sensation of exhaustion, I decided to do one last round of pictures and call it a night. Derrick Pierce, who was a sight for sore eyes, walked into Sardos as I made my way around. I hadn’t seen him in quite some time.

Seeing familiar faces was definitely the theme of the night, as Magdalene St. Michaels arrived soon after Derrick.

My eyes were beginning to feel sore, so I knew it was time to go. I made my way around the tables and booths, shaking hands, giving hugs and saying my farewells. I strolled out into the cool night air, greeting Luther King as he made his way into Sardos. Climbing into the car, I felt spent but, happy I attended Porn Star Karaoke. After quick reflection of the night, I drove off and headed for home.

Male Fake Orgasm Contest

I know several of people have been waiting for me to post about what happened with RudeTV and get “the real story“. Well, unfortunately I have to disappoint most of you. The press release that was sent out, which you can read in my blog’s previous entry, is actually true and not some company saving face tactic. RudeTV has gone on hiatus to restructure the entire company and format.

There isn’t any big inside story or a “real story” thats behind what happened with the hiatus. RudeTV needed to be revamped, due to the current state of the online market and the economy.

Its unfortunately that it happened so suddenly but, a deadline for a decision was reached and the owners had to take immediate action.

I’ve been a victim of layoffs before, back when I worked in the corporate world and its a common practice there for such events to take place. The owners of RudeTV were porfessional enough to give severance pay to Soxxx and myself, which is definitely not common place in the adult industry.

I have nothing but positive things to say about RudeTV and have good memories to carry with me from my time working there.

On the positive side, now that I have a bit of spare time on my hands (which has been a major adjustment after working two jobs for so long), I’ve sent a lot of my time revamping Powderxxx.com. If you haven’t checked out the new layout, head on over to the site and let me know what you think. Right now most of the galleries are down as I’m redoing them from scratch.

I attended a party at Dungeon Corp this past Friday, which was a fun gathering. Saw a lot of great people there and was able to catch up on how they were doing. Kudos to Ogre and The Pope for doing an excellent job and putting on an event everyone enjoyed.

While at the party, one party goer asked (in a joking manner), “So what are you going to do now that you are back to being a nobody?“. I never rhave thought of myself as a “somebody” in the business. Just a guy, who hopefully made a good impression, was pleasant to be around and treated people right.

Joking or not, its been interesting to see who in the industry is already treating me a bit different due to my current situation. I still work at Nakedchatlive.com on the weekends and I have no plans to leave the adult business unless I absolutely have to.

I like being in the industry and the people who I’ve gotten to know over the past 5 and 1/2 years.

Speaking of plans, I’m working on launching my own adult internet based show. I’ve already had several offers for studio space and have bought my own equipment to use. If everything comes together, I’ll be making a future announcement soon with all the details.

Just wanted to end with a quick thank you to everyone who has shown love and support since they heard about the hiatus. You’re good energy and thoughts are deeply appreciated.

In a move engineered to both cut costs and reformat their existing broadcast schedule, RudeTV has announced plans to temporarily close their studio doors with tentative plans for re-launch in the near future.

“Due to the current financial climate, we, not unlike many other companies, are looking for ways to trim our budget while still continuing to provide quality programming to our loyal RudeTV fan community. Unfortunately, at this time that plan must include temporarily ceasing studio operations”, says RudeTV’s Marketing Director, Chandie Foster.

“We are looking forward to developing a new format for the site to provide the community and the performers an exciting new direction that we will be moving towards in the future.”

According to Foster, RudeTV.com will remain online and all archived shows will still be available for viewing. All affiliate links for RudeTV.com will redirect to our flagship website Rude.com and no affiliates will lose credit or earnings during the transition. Details on the re-launch date were not immediately available.

This past Thursday was an interesting series of events at RudeTV.

Thursday turned into an impromptu, “Legends” night at the station. It started with Bill Margold coming in to cohost “Cavity Search” with Anita Blue. Bill invited several models of Jim South’s World Modeling (The longest running adult talent agency in the industry) to also join the show to promote his upcoming PAW Bare Bowling event.

Soon, Missy Woods arrived and was soon followed by Crystal White. Both who will be appearing at the Bare Bowling event. My first impression of Crystal White is she is a individual who marches to the beat of her own drummer.

Near the beginning of the show I received a call from Cara Lott, who was in the neighborhood and wanted to stop by. I informed her of Bill Margold’s appearance and she quickly arrived, excited to see Bill. Anita Cannibal arrived a little bit later in the hour, to sit in as the final guest.

“Cavity Search” was a frisky love fest, as everyone came together in one showing of support for Bill and to promote PAW. It wasn’t soon after Crystal, Cara and Anita joined Missy Woods on the RudeTV couch, that all the ladies went topless and began touch each other. It also didn’t take long before Cara Lott was sitting on Bill Margold’s lap, being probed by his finger.

The show went A.D.D. but, when you have frisky guests with big personalities and energy, its to be expected. Thats when it becomes the host and staffs jobs to try and keep up with the chaos. The important thing is, that it the event got promoted, the girls got naked and fun was had by all.

Next, it was my turn to host “Smell My Finger” with Roxanne Hall. My guest were supposed to be Lynn LeMay and Sierra Skye but, unfortunately they had some car trouble and were unable to make the show. Luckily I was able to reschedule them both for Tuesday, September 1st.

I asked Crystal White to stay over and to be a guest on my show, as she didn’t get to speak much during “Cavity Search“, which she agreed to do. Right before the show was to begin, Bill Margold also introduced me to legendary performer, Alicia Rio who had arrived late. I invited her to stay to be my guest on my show without hesitation.

Roxanne and I welcomed Alicia on to the show first and were thrilled to have her on. We spoke at length about how sometimes history is forgotten in the adult industry and how much can be learned from those who came before. Alicia Rio is very enthusiastic, energetic and seemed very passionate about her time in the industry. I would say more so, then some of the current crop of young performers in the business today.

Crystal White joined the show in the second hour, for her second appearance of the night. The energy in the room became wild and unpredictable with the mix of Roxanne, Alicia and Crystal on at the same time. I tried to keep the show flowing as best as possible but, sometimes you have to let the chaos happen before you can reign in the show.

Overall as with the previous show, everyone seemed to have fun, got naked and got their promo as we closed out the night.

On Wednesdays from 7pm to 8pm PT on RudeTV.com, I’m sitting in to co-host “Reality Chexxx” with the lovely Hunter Bryce. The show is all about what goes on behind the scenes in the adult industry.

Hunter is an interesting personality to work with. She’s outspoken, aggressive and opinionated but, still very feminine and “girly”. In a short time she has embraced the hosting role and is very quickly becoming comfortable as the lead on air.

The shows have flowed well and are fairly easy to work on, as I am not having to host, just listen and respond to Hunter. It can also be a bit dangerous if I get too relaxed, I might slip and start saying a few things I shouldn’t. Overall the show has worked well in its new format and I’m very happy to have Hunter as a part of RudeTV.

Tonight, I’m back in the hosting chair for “Smell My Finger” with my cohost Roxanne Hall from 8pm to 10pm PT. Out guests are legendary pornstar Lynn LeMay and newcomer Sierra Skye. Looking forward to having them both on and it should be interesting as Lynn LeMay is my former boss at LeMayzing Pictures.

My return to the hosting chair on RudeTV hasn’t been a easy one. Some of the shows have been fantastic and fun to be a part of. Then there are the ones like last night, which want me to slam my head into the wall. It wasn’t anyone fault but my own. As the host, I drive the show and make sure all the topics are hit on. My co-host, Roxanne Hall was full of energy, we had the ultra hot Rachel Roxxx stop by before her appearance on “Dirty Divas” with Ginger Lynn so, all the elements were there for a good show.

The problem? I just couldn’t put it together and do my job last night.

About an hour into the show, my brain stopped working. I literally had nothing to say, with my mind drawing a complete blank. No one else is to blame but myself, for not being able to work through the fog. I felt like all the energy and creativity suddenly left my body. I was left with little to say and struggling for the rest of the show, even when out scheduled guest, Wanda Lust finally made an appearance (she has car issues and was late).

Even after the shows were done and we all left for the night, I still was kicking myself the whole way home. Now I’m left wondering what happened. Is it fatigue? Being over worked? Or am I simply not cut out for doing four hours of a prime time show each week? Doubt and insecurity flared up and a lot less sleep was had last night. Ah, the life of a perfectionist is not an easy one.

I spoke with a friend of mine from high school, who works in mainstream TV and radio this morning. He assured me that hosts go through these types of dry spells all the time. He reminded me to think back to other hosts I worked with, who came in with ZERO preparation and what happened when they tried to do their shows. He pointed out that I may have become to comfortable in my environment and need to challenge myself to improve and come up with new segments for the show. Most importantly, to make the show my own.

His words and advise helped quite a bit. It made me realize that I can continue to try to fill the shoes of previous hosts, or I can branch out to make my own unique mark on air.

I think its about time I did just that.

I’ve had a few people ask me recently, if porn star blogs are worth the time and effort to read. I would say yes they are. Several blogs are a look into the mind of your favorite porn star or adult personality and a lot of the time are written with real emotion behind the entries. Granted, some are used as a diary for shoots/travel and over all, most are used for promotional purposes.

Blog writing can almost be a form of therapy for some. For other blogs, its a gate way to see the emotional and mental makeup of that particular person.

My blog started off as mostly a recap of RudeTV shows and adult events. But, there is something addictive about writing a blog. When I was writing each day, if its seemed like I was going to miss an entry, I would freak out a little. There were days where the first thing I’d do is wake up, jump on the computer and start writing the days entry. Even now, months removed from regular updates, I still find myself wanting to sit down and update daily. Unfortunately time and life work against that happening.

Porn Star Karaoke 6 Year Anniversary, held July 21st 2009 at Sardos Grill and Lounge in Burbank, Ca and was hosted by adult star Nicki Hunter. Held every Tuesday, PSK has been the only on going weekly event for the adult industry in the SFV. Video brought to you by RudeTV.

More frequently as of late, I’ve been getting a lot of questions about why I don’t update my blog often. Some think its a general lack of motivation or laziness. Other asked if I wanted to post only when I have something profound to say. All of the above are partly true.

As I’ve stated before, its been more about lack of time and creative burnout, which has greatly increased as of late. My duties at RudeTV have increased and for the last several weeks, I have made my return to the hosting chair on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 8pm to 10pm PT to host “Smell My Finger“.

In just this week alone, I’ve spent all weekend working on Nakedchatlive.com marketing, as well as booking guests for RudeTV and prepping shows to host. The average prep time for shows is about 2 or 3 hours, with digging up clips, show topics, etc. I also attended the 6th anniversary of Porn Star Karaoke, where I ran around, snapping pictures and filming video.

The majority of today was dealing with drama and rumors in the morning, spent editing pictures and a four minute video recap of PSK to show the air. I even had to fit in guest hosting “Reality Chexxx” with Cece Stone. On top of that add daily phone calls from guests and RudeTV staff and its a full day.

The PSK 6th Anniversary recap should be posted on both Rude.com and Youtube soon.

Tomorrow I have a meeting in the morning, a meeting at noon, show planning and research, guest bookings and then my normal tech duties till its time to go on the air. I wish I could say this was an unusual day for me but, its pretty typical. Hence the burnout.

On a brighter note, Porn Star Karaoke was a lot of fun. Met a twitter mate, Kerry Louise (who has a fantastic set of lips) in person. I also ran into busty beauties in Rachel Love and Sierra Skye, both of whom I hadn’t seen sense the XRCO Awards earlier this year. Also attending were Ava Lorraine, Brittany Blaze, Angela Aspen and many, many others. I met Tanya Tate as well, who made quite the good impression with me through out the night. Its was a lot of fun and everyone seemed to have a great time. Nicki Hunter did an excellent job hosting.

The entire adult industry is invited to the Porn Star Karaoke 6th Year Anniversary on Tuesday July 21, 2009.

The event will be a celebration of Six years of PSK and everyone that has been involved with it. Started in July 2003, Porn Star Karaoke is the longest-running ongoing porn event in the history of the adult business.

The 6th year anniversary event will be hosted by the beautiful Nicki Hunter.

There will be a special gift to all that attend to commemorate this special night.
